What happens if it rains?
Totally fair question—and one I get all the time. —and I totally get it. Florida weather has a mind of its own. One minute it’s sunny, the next we’re in a full-blown tropical downpour. It keeps things interesting! Florida weather can be unpredictable, but don’t stress. If it rains we will do our best to reschedule…schedule permitting but don’t worry, you won’t lose your deposit.
However, keep in mind that dramatic skies actually make for some of the most beautiful images—especially at the beach. Storm clouds and soft light can turn the ocean into a canvas of rich blues and teals. It’s seriously stunning.
That said, I don’t cancel too far in advance. Some of the most beautiful skies I’ve photographed have come after a storm—when the sun breaks through and lights up the clouds in the most magical way. If the forecast isn’t looking good, don’t worry—I’m not going to make you stand outside while the kids get drenched and grumpy. That’s not fun for you, and it’s definitely not fun for me!
I track the weather closely and I don’t rely too much on weather apps (especially that vague little rain cloud on the iPhone). A single passing shower in the morning doesn’t mean the whole day’s a washout.
Bottom line: you’re in good hands, rain or shine. And I’ll always work to make sure your session feels relaxed, fun, and full of great memories—whatever the weather brings.
